Roadside Units (RSUs) and On-Board Units (OBUs) are important components in intelligent transportation systems. An RSU is a device installed on the roadside in the ETC system, which uses short-range communication technology to communicate with the OBU installed in the vehicle. The OBU is a small device mounted inside the vehicle that stores basic vehicle information and can interact with the RSU to enable automatic toll deduction without stopping.To ensure the stable operation and efficient performance of the ETC system, it is necessary to test RSU and OBU products using professional testing solutions. This article will introduce a testing solution provided by Beijing Duwei Technology Co., Ltd. The entire system consists of core control software ETC Runsys and hardware equipment, which can meet the relevant testing requirements for RSUs and OBUs.

This article introduces a testing software called ProEye provided by Beijing Doewe Technology Co., Ltd. This software can assist users in analyzing ETC communication processes, thereby improving testing efficiency.

This article will introduce the video signal formats and video channel testing indicators based on the content of transmission channel indicators for closed-circuit television monitoring systems specified in the JTG 2182-2020 standard.

The main testing content of this plan is to test items 20 to 25 in the measured items of ETC gantry system in Table 6.4.2 under 6.4 ETC Gantry System of the standard "JTG 2182-2020 Standards for Quality Inspection and Assessment of Highway Engineering - Volume II: Mechanical and Electrical Engineering". These items include communication area, RSU working signal strength, RSU working frequency, RSU occupied bandwidth, RSU preamble, and RSU communication process.

It supports all test image signal generation functions that meet the standard requirements, as well as various video transmission quality testing functions.The closed-circuit television monitoring system is an indispensable and important part of highway traffic. It is responsible for uploading real-time road traffic conditions to the road monitoring and command center, so as to timely understand the situation of various regions and ensure timely response when accidents occur. The corresponding video monitoring link, as the carrier for transmitting video signals, affects various aspects such as video quality, signal transmission speed, and transmission stability. Therefore, it is particularly important to test, evaluate, and conduct regular inspections on the transmission quality of the link.

The General Office of the Ministry of Transport officially issued Document Jiao Ban An Jian Han 〔2024〕 No. 1432 on August 1st.
